Thank you for your financial support in helping me to attend the 2019 Buzzards Bay Regatta held at the New Bedford Community Sailing Center New Bedford, Massachusetts. I participate along with my skipper Sophia Devling.
On our first day in New Bedford, we set up our charter boat and then went out sailing. On the first day of racing the wind was very light. We spent two hours on land in postponement. When we finally did get out on the water the wind was very light and we only raced two races. However due to a protest against the race committee about unclear courses both races from the day were thrown out. We started the second day of the regatta with a clean slate. Inorder to make up for no races the previous day, we had a very long day on the water racing a total of five races. We finished the day qualifying for gold fleet. On the final day of the regatta the wind was very light again. We spent time hunting for breeze and finally raced two races.
Overall we finished the regatta in 48th place. Even though it was a very difficult light regatta, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Thank you so much for your continued support!
