Thank you so much for supporting me for the International Orange Bowl Regatta! The trip was an absolutely amazing experience, and I learned a lot throughout the 4 days of racing. The first half of the regatta brought solid breeze which was great for me and Will in the C420 as we are a heavy team. We had consistent finishes and even one bullet in race 2, allowing us to qualify for the Gold Fleet. Unfortunately, though, as the breeze dropped, so did our scores. We were not as strong in the marginal and light breeze that we saw in the back half of the regatta. We had trouble getting of the line and finding clear lanes upwind. Though we dropped significantly, we finished 36th in the Gold Fleet which was a very respectable finish for our first big regatta together, and MY first international regatta in the C420 ever! Without your support, I couldn’t have afforded to make this trip and put the experience from this difficult race under my belt. I can’t thank you enough for your generosity!
