Dear BYC Maritime Sciences and Seamanship Foundation,
Thank you so much for supporting me as I continue to strive to be the best sailor I can possibly be. Being able to attend the CISA Clinic, where the coaching staff was full of some of the best sailors worldwide, was incredible. I learned many valuable lessons both on and off the water.
On the first day of the CISA Clinic my skipper, Kate Madigan, and I worked on perfecting how we rigged our 420 and became much more aware of how we could make our boat adapt to certain conditions. Later on in the clinic, we worked on boat handling and through the help of my classmates, my skipper, and my coaches, I learned how to trapeze much better than I did before.
This intense four day clinic tested my stamina and strengthened my passion for sailing. Without the help of the BYC Maritime Sciences and Seamanship Foundation, I would not have been able to further my sailing abilities. In fact, this clinic also aided to develop my sailing skills, which, if all goes according to plan, will help lead me to Stanford’s sailing team.
Sincerely,
Madeline Bubb
