I would like the thank the BYC Maritime Sciences and Seamanship Foundation for  their support  of  my participation in the recent Junior Olympics Regatta. The regatta was held on July 12-14 at  NHYC.

The regatta started off with a practice day on Thursday in very light wind.  Racing started on Friday, but unfortunately I was unable to compete the first day due to a head injury. Although I was still in some pain I was able to sail on Saturday and Sunday.    Saturday started out with fairly light wind, however the wind built for the last two races. I had my best races that day and enjoyed the good breeze.  I had a great time in this regatta and I was also able to learn a lot about sailing lasers. Every regatta that I attend increases my knowledge of sailing in general and allows me to better myself in laser sailing.  I thank the foundation for supporting me in not only Junior Olympics but in other events as well.

Sincerely,

Andrew Luttrell
