Thank you for supporting my attendance at the 2021 CJ Buckley C420 Team Racing National Championships. This two day event was held in E. Greenwich, RI. This is by far my favorite event of the summer. Light winds and stiff competition prevailed in this two day team racing event. Over twenty teams competed for this National Championship. Our team, West Coast Best Coast, consisted of myself and Sophia Mulvania, Peter Busch and Cam Spriggs and Ryan Satterberg and Jon Seward. The team represented the coast of California from San Diego to Santa Barbara.

At then end of day one we were in first place. Day two we competed in the top bracket against the teams with the best records. We found ourselves competing against another NB4T team. After successive wins we made it to the finals to compete against Sail One Design Team. We lost the first race, won the second and then went into the final race in a tie. Light winds and shortened course made the last race a challenge. Failing to get strong starts by all three of our boats put at us an immediate disadvantage. Unfortunately, we lost the tie breaker, but we were still thrilled with our 2nd place finish at this National Championship.
