Thank you so much for the grant that allowed me to participate in Laser Midwinters. This regatta was my first big Laser regatta. It was a great experience. I am used to sailing boats with a crew and rely on my crew for information, like starboard boats. I almost hit a starboard boat in one of the races. It was evident very quickly that I was sailing alone and needed to rely on myself. Lasers are new and different which interests me because I have to rely on myself. I learned a lot at Midwinters and have transferred that learning to my C420 racing.
