Dear Balboa Yacht Club Maritime Sciences & Seamanship Foundation,
Thank you so much for your kindness and consideration in funding the Newport Harbor High School Sailing Team. Our experience at the event was one we will truly never forget. The funding provided allowed for 8 of our best sailors to attend the 2018 Mallory High School Nationals in Lakewood, Texas.
The conditions at the event were amazing with great winds of around 8 to 12 knots of breeze everyday. After two days of hard racing we finished in 12th place out of the 20 best teams in the nation. We are so grateful for the funding provided to attend this event we learned so much that we will use in the future to continue to race at the national level. Once again we greatly appreciate your consideration!
