Thank you for your support of my participation in the South Shore C420 Championship Regatta in Sayville, NY. This was my first time sailing in this venue off the coast of Long Island.
Our first day of practice was with light winds. Once the competition began, the wind filled in and maintained a constant 15 + knots. It was great to finally have constant conditions for a regatta. The right side of the course continued to be favored throughout the three days of competition and slight chop and white caps prevailed with strong winds. Sophia and I dug deep and placed 5th in this event finishing the summer with a solid regatta.
